The San Francisco International Arts Festival, the Central American Resource Center, Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts and the cast of PLACAS want to know about your tattoos.
PLACAS commissioned video journalist Josue Rojas to make a video as a companion piece to the play PLACAS starring Ric Salinas of Culture Clash that will premiere at the Lorraine Hansberry Theater on September 6. Ric Salinas, playwright Paul Flores and the cast of PLACAS will be interviewing members of the public about their tattoos or the removal of them.
The evening will also feature the chance to hang out with the cast of PLACAS and get an inside scoop on the new production, groove to the turntable stylings of DJ Aztec Parrot, see tattoo demonstrations, and enjoy great food, drinks and lots more.
Note: The party is free to enter and open to the public. But if you would like to be one of the people chosen for interview on camera you must RSVP prior to the day of the event. Participants will also receive discount tickets to the performance of PLACAS, September 6 – 16, 2012.
