Appearance by contemporary wrestler Chicano Flame for a screening of of the 1969 monster-mash Santo y Blue Demon contra Los Monstruos. Silver-masked hero El Santo has to save society and sometimes-associate Blue Demon from the clutches of a bevy of bad guys, including the Frankenstein Monster, the Mummy, the Wolf Man, the Cyclops and a couple of vampires. This presentation takes place in association with the wrestling-themed exhibition La Quebradora: Lucha Libre in Contemporary Mexican Art, which is on view at the Mission Cultural Center for Latino Arts in San Francisco through August 4.
