Event Description

Come out to the Blue Macaw this Thursday for the Viva La Vida Benefit: “Canta y No Llores” (Sing, Don’t Cry) Day of the Dead Celebration honoring the legendary life of musicians through fashion, music, art, poetry, and dance with performances by Zanzibar Band, Blanca, Alma Desnuda, Left Tirado, Santos Perdidos, and DJ Tybalt. In addition, Ayala has recruited local fashion designers and artists who will design Day of the Dead fashion designs, altars, and art inspired by legendary musicians.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit La Playa Music School Scholarship Fund for low income families and women and children living in homeless shelters; student scholarships for John O’Connell High; and Coro Hispano de San Francisco, a local non-profit that provides free concerts, lessons, research and performs indigenous music of the Americas.
