The Marigold Project began in 1983 with the sole purpose of preserving the rich traditions of Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead and this year marks another year full of altars, processions, Aztec rituals, and remembrances. The project, like many other publicly funding organizations, has seen its budget stagger under the pressures of a recession. But make no mistake, this festival is definitely staying around, and staying alive with your support!
