Sao Paolo’s, Garotas Suecas, is a six-piece band that blends influences from their home country with vintage-American sounds that are guaranteed to make you dance. Having recently been described as a mix between Otis Redding and Os Mutantes, their debut self-titled EP is equal parts soul and garage with a good helping of tropical sounds that will make any fan of harmony proud. This is a show not to be missed!
Opening is Chilean singer/guitarist Cat Tasso (formely from The May Fire) who will be playing songs from her first EP, Gower. Tasso’s raw energy is reminiscent of the show spirit and attitude of yesterday; loud, moody and intense, its moments of tender simplicity are what give Tasso a huge signature sound.
Local favorite, Disco Shawn (Bersa Discos, Tormenta Tropical), will keep the dance floor moving between sets.
