Gabriela Lena Frank’s work will be presented by the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra “All Stars.” Frank, who won a Latin Grammy last year for Classical Contemporary Composition and who is of Peruvian, Chinese and Lithuanian-Jewish heritage, will speak about the powerful multicultural forces that underlie her music.
Trio Chaskinakuy rounds out this special program with their presentation of traditional Andean folk music.
Reinventing the classical sounds is a challenge tailor made for Gabriela Lena Frank and The San Francisco Chamber Orchestra “All Starts” Together they incorporate classical music with new and colorful heritage beats. This music will run trough your ears and brain taking your body where only the harmonious minds go to.
